A teenager definitely needs to have lots of different sets of clothing in their closet to wear on different days. A teenager's favorite pair of pants will obviously be blue jeans. The ease of jeans is what has made them a popular teen's choice nowadays. Jeans are usually made using denim. Denim is basically a rugged cotton textile. On a side note, it is a common misconception that denim is already blue. In reality, it is just a textile which has been colored with indigo dyes in order to give it that blue color we see in jeans.

So there, now you know what denim is! Many teenagers also frequent denim shirts. A denim shirt will usually come in either light blue (the color of jeans) or dark blue. They look a lot like jeans because the textile used is the same - denim. These shirts are not as popular as jeans among teenagers, but they are being worn on a daily basis by many people. The problem with denim shirts, is that they don't match nicely with pants other than jeans. That is due to the material of these shirts, which stands out.

When worn with a pair of jeans however, these two make for an absolutely great match! Remember how cool those cowboys in the old western movies used to look? It's no coincidence they were all wearing that same outfit. If you have a denim shirt and don't know what kind of pants to wear, I would recommend you to find a darker colored pair of jeans to go with it. You know how some people wear a denim shirt with red pants? Right... It doesn't work!

When teenagers buy their shirts, they mostly buy them because they think they would look cool when they put them on. The problem is that after they buy a denim shirt, they sometimes don't know how to wear it properly. Wearing it like a normal shirt is not "cool" anymore. You need to know what you are doing or otherwise it loses its beauty.

If you are the kind of person that likes a little challenge, and you like the color of a denim shirt, go ahead and buy it. Just remember to also buy a few pairs of jeans that will match well with it. They don't come in many colors, other than black and blue, so chances are that they will look good with blue jeans!
